Our honey is supplied a number of suppliers including David Chubb of Boxbush Farm (half a food mile from our kitchen!). He has kept bees for years and makes a delicious runny honey which is used to naturally sweeten the Granola. His bees help pollinate our apple trees each year which is an added bonus!

Ingredients

Rolled oats are the basic ingredient of our Granola. We only use award winning oats because we consider them to be far superior in quality , purity and consistency.

We use Rapeseed Oil which is extracted in the same way as extra virgin olive oil but lower in saturated fat (R-Oil: 7%, Olive Oil: 14%). This oil is produced by Hamish Campbell from his nearby Cotswold Farm (10 food miles). It is an excellent source of linoleic and linolenic acid which our bodies convert to Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids and contains no transfats whatsoever.

These apples are from our very own orchard. They are never sprayed and each years harvest yield depends on the weather that year. We pick the apples by hand, peel and cook them down to puree which is then mixed with the oats and other ingredients prior to baking. Find out more about our apples and the orchard.

Inevitably, a small amount of ingredients travel from further afield and overseas. We always try to source organic nuts and dried fruit and only import shipped ingredients not air freighted. We are always looking at reducing our food miles and are considering growing a lot more soft fruit at Berry Farm which we could preserve and use in our products.
